Q: Does my book need to be PRINT READY?
A: To ensure sales of your book, it must be fully edited before it is submitted for self-publishing. A note here, self-editing and self-publishing are a recipe for disaster. Ask us why.
Q: How long will it take to receive my book back from Vision Novels?
A: Without pictures, two weeks. Depending on the amount of additional pictures, it may take longer.
Q: After I receive my my formatted book, then what?
A: You upload your files to a site like Ingram Spark. (Accounts are free) They will go over your book -- cover and Interior -- then have you login and inspect finished product. You approve the book and it is ready to order and sell.
Q: How long will it take for my books to ship?
A: That depends on the printer the author chooses to upload their files to.
Q: What book sizes and binding styles do you offer?
A: Depends on author’s preference and printer’s requirements.
Q: What is the purpose of cover templates?
A: Cover templates ensure the printer as all the correct data so you get the proper size required for your book.
Q: Will I receive a proof of my book?
A: No book generated by Vision Novels is ever sent to the printer without the author signing his approval.
Q: What is an ISBN? How do I get one?
A: Author can supply their own, which is purchased through www.bowker.com or they can be assigned one through Vision Novels, which will always point back to us, instead of the author. In this case Vision Novels staff will forward any requests for purchasing books to the author.
Q: How do I get an ISBN bar code? Do I need one?
A: Author can also purchase this through Bowker. One is needed only if the book will be sold through major retail outlets.
Q: Can you file a copyright for me?
A: Yes. This is part of both packages.
Q: How do I submit my book to Vision Novels?
A: Check the submissions guidelines included on this website.
Q: Is my book a good fit for Vision Novels?
A: Vision Novels will aid in the publication of most general genres and non-fiction. We DO NOT help publish the novel itself. Once the formatting is complete we email you the files and you are then in control.
Is the E-Book part of the package price?
No. Formatting for the E-Book is a separate process. And is an Additional Cost
